MORE ABOUT THE THUNDERBOLT PORT
This port allows you to access streams of uncompressed HD video from the macbook at speeds whichwill allow you to edit them in real time. The Thunderbolt port is TWELVE, yes twelve times faster than a firewire port & TWENTY times faster than USB 2.0.
